Seeburghof x YourStore – Autonomous Sales at Lake Lucerne
Where history meets high-tech. Learn how Seeburghof preserves historic substance while automating the farm shop with a smart container.
The Situation
The Seeburghof in Meggen is far more than a classic farm. Managed by Petra Grätzer, the farm combines hospitality, event gastronomy, and viticulture at a historic location that once served as a salt trading post.
However, the idyllic location by the lake brought a logistical challenge. The farm is heavily frequented by walkers and tourists who want to buy regional products. The problem: To offer a wide range (97% organic), constant staff presence was previously necessary.
The 15 employees were often withdrawn from their core tasks in agriculture and event support by shop sales. The vision was clear – preserve the emotional value of the location, but radically streamline the sales process.
The Solution – YourStore
Since April 2021, Seeburghof has relied on our comprehensive infrastructure. As structural interventions in the historic substance were not an option, Petra Grätzer decided on our flexible "Store-in-a-Box" solution.
The centerpiece is a modern, modular sales container seamlessly placed on the grounds.

Smart Store Orchestration
Our platform controls the building technology (lighting, climate) in the container fully automatically, ensuring smooth 24/7 operation.
Self-Checkout Terminal
An intuitive terminal allows walk-in customers to scan and pay for products independently – completely without cashier staff.
Hybrid Access
The infrastructure allows the shop to be kept open during the day to minimize operating costs, while complex goods flows of own products and purchased goods (RegioFair) are synchronized in the background.
The Result
Seeburghof has established itself as a digital pioneer in the Meggen region. The project impressively proves that traditional values and state-of-the-art retail technology are not mutually exclusive.
For Petra Grätzer's team, the change means one thing above all: freedom. Employees are massively relieved in day-to-day business and can concentrate fully on guests in the hotel and work in the field. At the same time, the farm shop runs profitably and offers tourists a flexible shopping experience.
