Making Local Craftsmanship Available Anytime
The Bergkäserei Mühlekehr (Bergkäserei Trub AG) has been family-owned since 1972 and is deeply rooted in the Emmental. Under the leadership of Fritz Baumgartner, award-winning cheese specialties and beeswax products are created here.
However, traditional opening hours hit their limits. Hikers, tourists, and locals often look for regional delicacies outside of staffed times. The challenge was to create a shopping experience that extends the value chain without putting additional strain on the existing staff.
The Digital "Sales Stöckli" with YourStore Orchestration
Instead of simply automating the main shop, the Baumgartner family opted for a charming extension: A separate "Self-Service Stöckli" made of 100% Trub wood. The YourStore platform (formerly Ur-Store) provides the technical intelligence in the background.

During the day, the Stöckli is open. During off-peak hours and at night, access is securely controlled via a QR code scan using a web app.
Store Control & Building Tech
The system takes over the automatic control of lighting and climate technology to ensure the quality of sensitive dairy products.
Intuitive Self-Checkout
A modular POS system enables customers to scan and pay independently – completely cashless via card or TWINT.
Over 400 Visits on the First Day and Full Acceptance
The opening in August 2023 impressively showed how great the need for flexible shopping times is. On the very first day, over 400 people used the new offer.
Particularly pleasing was the rapid adoption of the technology. Initial concerns regarding the purely cashless approach vanished immediately. Customers appreciate the simple operation, while the business benefits from modernized sales processes and low inventory effort.
